2019年3月まで横河電機取締役専務執行役員を務め、同年4月、国際宇宙大学（ISU：International Space University）Executive Space Course留学を契機に宇宙ビジネスに飛び込む。2020年国際宇宙大学Interactive Space Programに再度留学。2021年7月に同社初の宇宙ビジネス専門組織「宇宙事業準備室」を設立。2022年4月に技術開発機能を拡大し「宇宙事業開発室」に発展。2023年4月に後進に道を譲りエグゼクティブ・メンターとなる。また同月、Chief Sustainability Officerとしての経験を活かして新会社「黒須スペース＆サステナビリティ合同会社」を設立。宇宙開発で生まれる技術・ソリューションを活用した持続可能な社会への貢献を目指す。

Satoru Kurosu is the founder of the Space business of Yokogawa. After Mr. Kurosu had the role as Director, Executive Vice President until March 2019, he entered the Executive Space Course of International Space University (ISU) in April 2019 and jumped into the Space business. In 2020, Mr. Kurosu graduated from the Interactive Space Program of ISU. In July 2021, Mr. Kurosu established the Space Business Development Office, the first Space dedicated organization of the company. To develop solutions for Space, Mr. Kurosu enhanced the organization with the engineering and development functions in April 2022. In April 2023, he passed the baton to the next leader and became Executive Mentor. And in the same month, Mr. Kurosu established his own company, “Cross Space & Sustainability, LLC”, leveraging his experience as Chief Sustainability Officer. Mr. Kurosu aims to contribute to creating a Sustainable Society by Space originated technologies and solutions.
