Dr. Rassarin Chinnachodteeranun, Founder and CEO of ListenField, is an expert in remote sensing applications for promoting agricultural productivity and sustainability. Born in a small village in Thailand, Rassarin's passion for improving farmers' livelihoods with technology led her to establish this Thai-and-Japanese startup that uses satellite remote sensing to develop an analytical platform that generates data-driven insights for all stakeholders in the agriculture supply chain. ListenField's FarmAI platform combines various analytical functions including multispectral vision analysis, growth model simulation, climate risk, and optimization, helping transition to sustainable agriculture. In recognition of its contribution, ListenField received the Low Carbon Award by Seed by UNDP and the Japanese Society of Agricultural Informatics' Excellence Award. Rassarin leads a culturally and ideologically diverse team of 28 people from 11 countries with a significant presence of female managers. Over 25,000 farmers and 10 food and agriculture businesses have benefited from ListenField's technology. In 2021, Kubota Corporation invested in ListenField to bring technology to improve farming productivity in the Southeast Asia. As a pioneering woman in Asian business, she is committed to bridging the gap between advanced research and practical solutions to real farming problems, with the goal of improving farmer livelihoods and regenerating the planet.
